How KHM Travel Group Scales High-Impact Team Education Through Live Streaming

Written by BoxCast Team | 4/27/26 6:03 PM

A nationwide network of over 5,000 travel advisors uses live streaming to extend the reach of in-person events without sacrificing quality.

The Challenge

How to deliver a high-quality live experience that reflects in-person excellence for thousands of remote agents

“We had talked about live streaming our events for years, but it always came down to resources. Who’s going to run it? Who’s making sure the online experience is just as good?"
–Madison Isom, Special Projects Manager

KHM Travel Group operates a vast network of over 5,000 independent travel advisors across the United States. While each advisor runs their own business, they rely on KHM for education, support, and large-scale events designed to help them grow.

For years, the idea of live streaming those events lingered in the background. The team considered simple solutions, even something as basic as placing a camera in the back of the room. But that approach never aligned with their core value of reaching a high-bar in all things.

“It didn’t match our standard of excellence or our people-first mindset,” Madison explained.

When the pandemic accelerated the need for virtual access, the team knew they needed to act. After connecting with The Cleveland Video Company, they finally had a path forward to deliver a professional, reliable live streaming experience that matched the quality of their in-person events.

Today, their events are designed as in-person first experiences, but with a fully built-out production environment that allows remote attendees to participate in a meaningful way.

The Solution

A fully supported live streaming workflow built for both reliability and scale

“Once everything’s set up, it just runs. We’re not scrambling at the end of an event trying to upload or piece things together.”
–Madison Isom, Special Projects Manager

KHM partnered with Cleveland Video Company and BoxCast to build a live streaming workflow that could support both large-scale events and smaller offsite experiences.

At their headquarters, they’ve invested in a dedicated production setup, including PTZ cameras and a professional switcher, allowing their internal team to manage much of the in-room experience. For larger or offsite events, Cleveland Video Company brings in additional equipment and production support to ensure consistency.

The result is a flexible system that works across environments without sacrificing quality.

Each event is streamed simultaneously to three destinations: BoxCast for internal viewing and archiving, Zoom for real-time interaction with agents, and YouTube as a backup and on-demand access point.

For larger events, like their Annual "Destination Success Conference” and their yearly "Crystal Awards Ceremony", KHM uses BoxCast exclusively to provide the highest video quality to their virtual attendees. This allows them to use live chat moderators to manage multiple simultaneous conversations within BoxCast's chat feature.

With BoxCast handling recording and automatic archiving, the team at KHM additionally no longer needs to manage files or uploads after the event ends, which is a huge time saver.

The Results

Consistent, scalable streaming that enhances both in-person and remote engagement

9 Major Events Streamed Annually | 3 Simultaneous Streaming Destinations

“People will attend virtually and then say, ‘I have to be there in person next time.’ It’s actually helped drive attendance.”
–Madison Isom, Special Projects Manager

What started as a solution for accessibility quickly became a strategic advantage. KHM now streams nine major events each year, along with additional smaller sessions, ensuring their network of agents can stay connected no matter where they are.

Their multi-day boot camps, which run four and a half days from Tuesday through Friday, are now fully accessible to remote attendees. Agents can join live via Zoom for interaction while also benefiting from high-quality production powered by BoxCast.

Beyond live access, one of the biggest wins has been simplicity.

With automatic recording and instant availability, there’s no post-event scramble. As soon as the event ends, content is ready to be revisited and shared.

Even in more challenging environments, like streaming from cruise ships with limited internet reliability, BoxCast’s built-in buffering has helped ensure a stable viewing experience.

In Summary

High-Quality Streaming that Reflects In-Person Excellence

KHM Travel Group didn’t want a workaround for live streaming. They wanted a solution that matched the quality of their in-person events. With BoxCast and The Cleveland Video Company, they built a workflow that delivers a professional, reliable experience for both audiences without compromise.

Effortless Scalability for a Nationwide Network

With thousands of agents across the country, accessibility matters. BoxCast allows KHM to scale their events without adding operational complexity. From automatic archiving to multi-destination streaming, their team can focus on the event itself instead of the logistics behind it.
