How You'll Make an Impact

As an Assembly Technician, you will document and improve assembly instructions and manufacturing processes. You will procure and assemble our portfolio of hardware products while assessing and controlling process and product quality. While procuring sub-assemblies from external vendors, you will monitor vendor quality and inventory levels to match forecasted demand. You will debug, repair, rework, restock, and scrap all RMA units that are returned. You will be responsible for maintaining a 100% on-time unit shipment rate and will be the gatekeeper of all physical products that are shipped to customers.


What You'll Do

  • Document manufacturing processes and techniques for new product designs
  • Improve manufacturing processes, techniques, and documentation for existing products to reduce assembly time and improve product quality
  • Collaborate with vendors to quote and procure parts for product assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Assemble, test, and stock high quality, high-tech products by following documented assembly instructions
  • Assess, escalate and communicate product quality issues when necessary
  • Monitor and control the quality of vendor-provided product assemblies and components
  • Repair, rework, restock, and scrap RMA units
  • Perform monthly inventory counts
  • Conduct quarterly inventory reviews with the finance department
  • Handle all in-house fulfillment and shipping of finished goods to customers

Qualifications

  • Familiar with basic collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office and GSuite
  • Experience with electronics assembly and debugging including use of tools such as test equipment, tools, and soldering equipment
  • Required: associates degree in electrical engineering technology or 1-2 years of experience as a technician at an electronics contract manufacturer
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience as an assembly technician with experience in assembly, debugging, and electronics component procurement
